Adult Numeracy Classes

About This Service

FOPEC Adult Numeracy Classes are designed for adults who want to strengthen their everyday number skills with confidence and dignity. Whether you left school early, need to help your children with homework, or want to manage your business finances better, our patient tutors create a welcoming environment where you can learn at your own pace. Classes are available in Fort Portal and outreach centres across Western and Central Uganda, making it easier for you to access quality learning close to home. Our curriculum covers practical topics such as basic arithmetic, money management, measurements, fractions, percentages, and simple record keeping. You will also learn how to interpret bills, budgets, and loan agreements, which are essential skills for personal and business life. Each session combines clear explanations with hands-on practice, so you can apply what you learn immediately. We offer flexible schedules, including evening and weekend options, to fit around your work and family commitments. All tutors are experienced in adult education and understand the unique challenges mature learners face. We focus on building your confidence step by step, with no pressure and no judgement. Whether you are a farmer, trader, teacher, or community leader, these classes will help you handle numbers more easily and make informed decisions in your daily activities.
